Because of many historical factors, there was the necessity to create a way to teach a second language successfully. For example, Language centered-methods were created by the Americans searching for a method of learning second languages in short time, in order to spy the enemy in Second World War. For that reason, the focus was on the communicative skills through grammatical systematic structures. This method was a revolutionary way of learning the language usage. Nevertheless, it was not helpful when we talk about the language use. In other words, methods of this indole helped learners to acquire the linguistic knowledge and ability encouraging learners to communicate in the classroom. However, they lose sight of the acquisition of pragmatic knowledge and ability. This allowed teachers to make wrong assumptions because they thought that learners would be able to transfer their knowledge of grammar and vocabulary and apply it to real-life communicative situations.
